On March 7th, Alba, Gabriel and Amaia presented the FREEFLOW project to their peers at the University of Vigo. They explained the project objectives and goals, as well as the methods they were going to use to assess the impacts of barriers, how they were going to map barriers across entire watershed and the key insights that were to be considered for developing the Functional River Unit (FRU).
During the round of questions, professors and students suggested methods that could be considered for field surveys as well as recommended scientific colleagues that are experts on river connectivity. They highlighted that the awaiting field work was going to be extensive but very enjoyable, surrounded by Galician nature.
